When he can afford just food? clothes? entertainment? pay for college funds for the kids? I've heard some populate say the man should have enough salary to give the entire family if the wife didn't bring home the bacon. If the guy can't do that is he less of a man? Lots of individual answers will come. based on individual families needs Derek. I used to tend to think that the man should give for the entire family so that the wife did not 'have' to work and therefore be able to take compassionate of the home and primarily with the children. (I'm fairly traditional there) However life just isn't the work world it used to be. Families want all that they can have materially and both husband and wife work outside the domiciliate to 'undergo all these things' and hope somewhere along the way that everyone's needs are getting met. Now how realistic is that approach I query? I would certainly evaluate one of the things to believe are; What are the individual needs of my family? And both husband and wife cause what is the best course of action to take. It could be him holding back pursuing a exceed position for a time because 'little Tommy' has extra needs and 'young Susie' is driving mama crazy. This scenario may need a few months of measure with mama and daddy both as hands on as possible.
